Emotional Intelligence and Resilience Training
October 6 @ 1:00 pm - November 10 @ 3:00 pm$250
EIRT is a 6-week (once/week) mindfulness training program that teaches us the tools, skills, and philosophy of staying aware of our present moment experiences.
For most of us, our days are spent moving from one task to another, simultaneously thinking and planning in the midst of our work. We find ourselves irritable and easily frustrated by problems that arise throughout our days, and in times of deep difficulty, coping often means just making it through.
Mindfulness can teach us to be connected to and aware of how we feel and what we think. We learn to get out of our heads and to be fully present to the life that we are living. As we sit in meditation, we find that we are capable of finding safety through any experience, and we learn from our own experiences how to move beyond the reactivity of our lives and into a space of warmth, acceptance, and response.
Put simply, mindfulness is a way of being with ourselves and our lives that creates connection, compassion, and a release from the constant bombardment of painful stories and added stress. As we sit, we discover our wholeness and worthiness just as we are.
Mindfulness programs from which EIRT was derived have been scientifically shown to produce decreased stress, decreased symptoms of anxiety and depression, increased happiness, better sleep, higher productivity, and changes in the brain that allow for easier navigation in times of stress and less reactivity.
This is what we hope to offer you through the development of your own mindfulness practice.
