Meditation Workshop

Mindfulness is becoming very popular and yet most of us have had no formal training in this very effective way of living and therefore are left with mindfulness as not much more than an intellectual idea. This 3-hour workshop will provide you with formal training in both Mindfulness and Mindfulness Meditation. We will explore mindfulness as a concept and an active process. Ways to utilize mindfulness to experience increased joy in life will be discussed as well as mindfulness as an anecdote for stress. The neuroscience of mindfulness will be touched on briefly as there is a growing body of knowledge about how mindfulness meditation actually changes our brains for the better.

You will be led in 3 mindfulness exercises as a practical approach to experiencing mindfulness. The exercises will be following: a mindfulness of breath meditation, choiceless awareness meditation and a mindful eating experience. The workshop will conclude with an opportunity to ask questions.

Space is limited.

Cost to attend is $50 per person

Workshop is Saturday, February 3rd from 10am until 1pm
